Research progress of lncRNA MEG3 in tumorigenesis

  • 摘要: 长链非编码RNA(long non-coding RNA,lncRNA)覆盖了人类DNA的大部分非编码信息,占整个基因组的90%以上,它们构成了一个广泛而复杂的分子群,在肿瘤的病理生理过程中以多种形式存在。2003年,lncRNA人母系表达基因(MEG)3被证明是垂体瘤的一个潜在的肿瘤抑制因子,之后研究者又在脑膜瘤、肝癌、肺癌、神经内分泌瘤,以及前列腺癌等其他肿瘤上对其在基因表达调控、印记、转录和翻译后的作用上进行了研究,发现MEG3在多种恶性肿瘤组织中低表达或表达缺失,而上调MEG3的表达与肿瘤生长抑制相关,其在肿瘤发生中的作用和机制得到了更好地阐明。总结MEG3的功能及在肿瘤发生中的研究进展。
